About
Zachary Biggus has been playing guitar since the age of 11, moving from rock into jazz by his teens and gigging across the Chicagoland area by 16. With a Music Performance degree from Elmhurst University and over 13 years of live performance experience, Zach brings deep harmonic vocabulary and a feel-first approach to everything he plays.
In 2010 he released his debut album Jusqu'à Présent, followed by Earthling — a studio project mixing original jazz compositions with electronic production, recorded entirely in his home studio.
Today Zach performs with Guardians of the Groove, a Chicagoland jazz-funk trio bringing the spirit of Soulive, The Meters, and Grant Green to stages across the region. He also maintains an active Instagram presence for solo jazz guitar content.
